Is it just me...?

Q1) - Is it just me or are holidays more complicated than they used to be? I took Junior Monger 1 to the new climbing centre in town - brilliant! Act like Junior Spiderman, fall off, no damage. In fact he seems to quite enjoy dangling from a rope 50 feet up. So far so good - but the climbing centre also has a skatepark / BMX park, rollerblade death zone...
Q2) - Is it just me or do kids get it easy these days? - full on park, on doorstep, cheeez - we used spend hours on buses and trains getting to a half decent place. Hmmm!
Back to number Q1:-
Q1) - Is it just me or are holidays more complicated than they used to be?
- Kid sees BMX'ers - Dad I want to do that. You'll need some skills first son - that ain't no walk in the park. Next thing Brittle Old Monger is in the forest, hurtling down the "MTB Fun Park Trail", stuck on the kids tail like a Tie Fighter in Star Wars.
Q2) - Is it just me or do kids get it easy these days? - Didn't we have to build our own bike trails when we were kids and here's heaven laid out on a plate by the Forestry Commission!
First run over, the kid actually can't speak as the grin is stretched too tight over his face and, well... I'm just living up to my name! Second run, small air. Third run - Whoooaa BIG AIR!!! - Jmong does what I believe is called a "super man", unintentionally, and actually lands it. Grins again. Another run, Ice Creams and it's all over.
Back to number Q1:-
Q1) - Is it just me or are holidays more complicated than they used to be?
- Wait a minute I took him climbing to waste a holiday morning - now I'm flying through the air.
Whatever!

What a drag!

Today is dragging its sorry ass big style, I guess people are still suffering from general post holiday blues and the general realisation that life behind a desk sucks. So come on suck it up and look on the bright side this guy looks real happy. You have to ask the question is it because he survived or that he pulled the stunt off either way Freaking Wow!!!!

Thoughts turn to winter fun

Monger calls it a day and hails a taxi!

As the nights draw in my thoughts turn to winter fun and the Boyzzz anual pilgrimage to the snowy climbs of the Alps, no one can decide where they want to go but to be honest so long as its steep and the now is deep who cares.

Last year was Les Menuries The place is a bit crappy real slushy low down but up top mmmmm so sweet with some excellent days including Russco doing his usual off piste bit, dam when will that boy learn. Me I'm shit, couldn't ski for toffee.

Word of the week was "Ragged edge" and "Drive through the Smoke" All featured in that famous flick "Days of thunder" FFS!!!!!

Luminox Death Proof Bash

On the promise of free booze by the boys at Luminox I was coerced down to the big smoke to attend an event arranged by the promoters of Quentin Tarentinos new Film Death Proof. The Chaps at Luminox were sponsoring the event so it was access all areas!. The film is about a crazy stunt driver who gets off by crashing his car and the woman passenger he has just picked up in some bar, sounds cool I hear you say! Essentially the film promoters had arrange an evening of Banger Racing, each car sponsored by various celebs, in all it was a bit of a larf.

The man himself turned up with his crew and was quickly hustled in the building! He started the gig off but soon vanished only to re-appear to give the trophy to the race winner, not exactly fan friendly! All was not lost, the Icing on the cake came in the form of the the luminox Girls, who were essentially there to cause disruption by jumping any A,B,C or D list celebs they could find then have a there picture taken and with a gratuitous Luminox product shot included. A job which they carried out admirably. Check out the photo of X factors Shane Ward!! And yes that is the worlds shortest T shirt, "watch out love you will have someones eye out!"
